Ready-to-use fireplace and insert gasket adhesive

With a drying time of between two and three hours, the glue for sealing the doors of fireplaces, stoves or inserts is designed to withstand temperatures of up to 1100°C. Ready to use, this refractory glue is used on a clean and dry support (glass, cast iron, glass, steel, brick...). The cleaning of the tools but also of the glued surfaces is simply done with hot and soapy water. Black in color, the refractory glue for chimney, stove and insert joints is composed of silica and soda silicate. Every year, at the end of the heating season, in addition to a thorough sweeping by a professional, it is necessary to check the quality and wear of the door seals. These are the same seals that ensure part of the appliance's watertightness.
