After installing your KLOVER pellet stove, commissioning is an essential step to properly configure your stove and understand how it works. This should preferably be performed by a certified technician.

Steps to Follow

  1. Fill the pellet hopper. You can fill it to a maximum of 2 cm below the seal of the loading door
  2. Check that the loading door and the firebox door are securely closed.
  3. Plug the power cord into the stove. Generally, the connection is located at the back of the stove. For flat models, it is located at the bottom front of the stove. Plug it in securely.
  4. Turn on the stove by setting the “I/O” button to the “I” position. This button is located next to the stove’s electrical plug. The LEDs on the control panel will light up if the plug has been connected properly
  5. Insert 3 AAA batteries into the remote control
  6. Set the remote control to the desired language (FRE for French) using the buttons
  7. A "Before Installation" message will appear. Press "NO."
  8. Continue pressing the Set button until the main menu appears. If the message "Device not found" appears, please refer to our article "Device Not Found"
  9. Press the Set button to access the stove settings. Then, go to the “Standby” menu. Enable it using “ .” A should appear. If you do not enable “Stand-By,” the remote control’s thermostat will not activate
  10. Go to the stove’s settings menu by pressing the Set button. Then, go to the“Initial Charge” menu. A messagesaying “PAR CHARGER IN OFF PREMI UP” will appear. Press so that the auger can turn. This is an important step since this is the first ignition; you’ll only need to do this once. If you skip this step, the stove may fail to ignite because there aren’t enough pellets in the firebox. The loading process takes about one minute and 30 seconds .
  11. Go to the stove’s settings menu by pressing the Set button. Then, go to the“Set Clock” menu. Set the stove’s time and date using the
  12. Finally, turn on the pellet stove with the remote control by pressing the “ ” button. Wait about 10–15 minutes for a flame to appear

When lighting the stove for the first time, you may notice a paint odor and some mist coming from the stove. Don’t worry—this is just the paint curing on the unit since it’s brand new. This happens during the first and second times you light the stove.

Be sure to ventilate the room well during this time. Let the pellet stove run for about 1 hour at full power (flame setting 5 and fan speed 1–2). Once this is done, you can use your pellet stove as usual.
